      Larrabee "Babby" D. Hand, Jr., 74, of 134 Jones Street, Pelham, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla, Georgia.  Born on October 30, 1934 in Pelham, Georgia to the late Larrabee and Christine Turner Hand, Sr., he was married to the former Joanne Harvey.  Mr. Hand was a member of Hand Memorial United Methodist Church, and a former member of the Pelham Rotary Club and the Pelham Chamber of Commerce.  He was a chemical engineer, businessman and bookkeeper.  He is survived by his wife Joanne Harvey Hand of Pelham, Georgia, sons Hollis Hand and wife Sheila of Asheville, North Carolina and David Hand and wife Shannon of Orlando, Florida, grandchildren Avery, Addison and Toby Hand, sisters Florence Beutall of Pine Mountain, Georgia and Tesa DuPre' of Rome, Georgia.  He was preceded in death by his parents Larrabee and Christine Turner Hand and sister Tena Elliott.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 4:15 until 5:15 at Hand Memorial United Methodist Church in Pelham, Georgia.  The funeral will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the church as well.  Rev. Michael Fenn, Dr. Hugh Davis and Rev. Keith Goodlett will officiate the services.  Honorary pallbearers will be Bernie Pye, Jack Wilkes and Andy Frazier.  Active pallbearers will be Ray McKemie, Steven Rubendall, Bobby Hodges, Randy Chew, Ricky Mash and Allen Creech.  Interment will follow in the Pelham City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hand Memorial United Methodist Church, 242 Hand Avenue, Pelham, Georgia  31779.
