         Mr. James "Jim" Edwin Collins, Sr., 56, passed away in Mexico Beach, FL on Wednesday, July 7, 2010.    Mr. Collins, of Cotton, GA, was retired from the Department of Agriculture and was a member of Lake Pleasant Baptist Church.  He was born on April 25, 1954 in Mitchell County, Georgia to Mr. Marcus Eugene Collins, Sr. and Elizabeth Griffin Collins.

            Funeral services for Mr. Collins will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home Chapel in Pelham.  Rev. Larry Wynn and Mr. Ronnie Morrell will officiate.  Interment will be in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.  Pallbearers will be Tim Smith, James Davis, Larry Ragan, Ralph Collins, Tres Collins and Steve Morrell.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 from 5-8 p.m. at Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home. 

           Survivors include a daughter, Garrett Collins of Hopeful, GA; son, James Edwin Collins, Jr. "Winn" of Cotton, GA; parents, Marcus Eugene Collins, Sr. and Elizabeth Griffin Collins of Cotton, GA; brothers, Marc Collins and wife, Rosa, of Cotton, GA, Al Collins and wife, Peggy, of Cotton, GA; sisters, Ann Ragan and husband, Larry, of Smiths, AL, Jenni Smith and husband, Tim, of Cotton, GA, Becky Davis and husband, James, of Cotton, GA, a special friend, Cheryl Powell and several nieces and nephews.
